When trying to set a User role to "Headman" the selection does not stick and instead goes back to the role previously set. All the other role assignments work as expected.

to se the Headman you must have the player in a Group.
Currently in your alliance there are no groups created so is not possible to set the Headman.

Thanks for clearing that up, I thought Headman might be the tranlation for "Leader" as in Alliance Leader. I will spend more time reading the User Guide in future, sorry.
